President of Russian Federation stated “calling” inflation in 7.4%

Inflation last year amounted to 7.4 percent. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the government.

“True, there are also challenges: inflation – 7.4 percent. I am very counting on the fact that, by joint efforts with the participation of the Bank of Russia, of course, we will be able to approach this problem,” said Putin.

According to the head of the Russian state, the growth of gross domestic product (GDP) of Russia according to the results of 2023, when clarifying the indicators, may be higher than 3.5 percent.

“But what I would like to note is that this growth is based primarily on domestic consumer and investment demand. This is very important. Good indicators have demonstrated industrial production, construction, agriculture, tourism, cargo turnover. As for construction, we are regarding construction. In my opinion, 110.1 million square meters returned to this issue several times, we had a housing entry. This, of course, was an absolute record, there was nothing like this in the history of Russia, ”Putin explained.

He noted that over 10 months of last year, the real growth of wages amounted to 7.7 percent. “This is not bad. But, referring to inflationary processes, one must compare one with the other,” he said.

In addition, the President of the Russian Federation during a meeting with the government demanded that the bureaucratic problems associated with the opening of new border posts with the PRC.

“Regarding the new checkpoints, and the governor supports this, the business, too, they need to drag the goods hundreds of kilometers from the Primorsky Territory, somewhere else, so, of course, it is necessary to bring it to the end, especially since our partners. On the other side of the border, they also ask about it and support, everyone is interested. These bureaucratic problems are overcome as quickly as possible, ”said Putin.
