Tax Service on “Holding Money Card”

The Tax Service of the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan responded to the approval of some users of social networks on keeping with their bank cards of large sums allegedly in charge of value added tax (VAT) for previously acquired services from abroad. About it reports Sputnik Azerbaijan.

The tax service notes that VAT collection for services and work acquired in electronic format abroad is carried out by banks acting in this case by tax agents. VAT in the amount of 18% is held by banks already with cashless purchase of services or works by plastic cards in electronic form, notes the department.

This tax on Azerbaijani legislation is not charged from individuals when buying goods from abroad, paying tickets and staying at the hotel, as well as for services and work, physically obtained abroad, specified in the service.
