Turkmenistan plans to make a proposal to create the Caspian Environmental Initiative in September in the fields of the 78th session of the General Assembly (GA) of the UN. This is stated in the article of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan, published in the official newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan.
, taking into account fruitful cooperation on Caspian problems, Turkmenistan makes a proposal to create a “Caspian environmental initiative”, which is designed to become an international platform for subject and professional interaction on a wide range of issues of environmental protection, preserving its biological resources, and also solving a number of environmental problems, ”the article says.
Turkmenistan will also propose to consider the initiative to create the UN Regional Council on Water use in Central Asia with headquarters with headquarters in Ashgabat. It is noted that the initiative is aimed at maintaining peace, security and good neighborliness in Central Asia, as well as establishing the water use mechanism of cross -border rivers of the region.
