Who will exercise public control over work of customs?

The process of registration of candidates for the state council of the State Customs Committee has completed, which will exercise public control.

Recall that on the basis of the appropriate order, the Chairman of the Committee was created by the Election Commission to organize elections to the Public Council. By the decision of the election commission of July 17, 2021, the nomination and registration of candidates for the members of the Public Council from July 23, 2021 to August 23, 2021 was announced.

Note that the Public Council will be elected consisting of 13 people.

The press service of the State Committee also reported that the members of the Public Council would be elected by secret voting at a joint meeting of representatives of civil society institutions on September 21 from 09:00 to 16:00 in the European Regional Office of the World Customs Enhancement of Potential (Baku City, Khatayinsky district, ul. Natig Aliyev, 4a).

Civil society institutions interested in the participation of their representative in the Joint Meeting should apply to the Election Commission, which organizes elections to the Public Council under the State Customs Committee, indicating the necessary information about the representative, which will participate in elections as an electoral.

Voter Requirements: Only representatives of civil society institutions can participate in the elections to the Public Council; only representatives of civil society institutions;

· To participate in the elections to the Public Council as an elector, each institution of civil society must nominate its representative;

· Members of the Election Commission can not act as electoral elections to the Public Council.

To consider the issue of registration of the voter (representative of the Institute of Civil Society), it is necessary to provide the following documents:

1. Application for registering a voter (indicating the name, name, patronymic, birth, place of residence, contact phone);

2. Copy of the identity ID;

3. A copy of the document confirming the membership of the voter at the Civil Society Institute;

4. A copy of the document confirming the state registration of the Institute of Civil Societies
