Ambassador: Serbia supports sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jayun Bayramov took copies of the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador of Serbia Dragan Vladislavlievich and congratulated him with the appointment.

As reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, noting an existing strategic partnership between the two countries, the minister said that the appointment of the new Ambassador of Serbia in our country would have a positive impact on the further development of bilateral relations.

It was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Serbia unequivocally support the principles of international law, in particular the principle of sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

Noting that Azerbaijan is currently experiencing a historical stage, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the ambassador of Serbia about the current situation in the region after the 44th day war.

Ambassador Dragan Vladislavlievich expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Jayhun Bayramov for the reception and handed over the greetings of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Nikola Selakovich.

Noting that Serbia and Azerbaijan faced similar problems, the ambassador emphasized the support of Serbia sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on appropriate steps for the further development of bilateral strategic relations, including the exchange of mutual visits, holding the next meeting of the Azerbaijani-Serb Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, an increase in trade turnover, as well as the development of cooperation in other fields.
