The Paralympic team of Azerbaijan in judo became the world champion.
The competitions were held at the Heydar Aliyev Sports Palace. In the team championship, our team consisting of Ismail Muradov, Namik Abbasla, Huseyn Ragimli, Zakira Muslimov, Ilham Zakiev and Kenan Abdullakhanly took 1st place.
Azerbaijani team alternately defeated Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Turkey, for the first time in history, having won the gold of the world championship.
Earlier in personal competitions, Ilham Zakiev (over 90 kg) became a silver medalist, Namik Abbasla (73 kg), Shakhan Gadzhieva (48 kg) and Hanam Huseynov (70 kg) – bronze.
