The next meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Dost Agency under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population took place. Chairman of the Council, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Sakhil Babayev spoke about the activities of the Agency and Dost Centers established by decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated August 9, 2018.
According to HAQQIN.AZ in the press service of the department, the minister stressed that the concept of Dost, which is the initiative of the first vice-president of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, allows you to submit services on the basis of a “single window”, prompt and transparent.
Sakhil Babayev noted that since May 2019, Dost Agency and 5 more Dost Centers were created, as a result of which Dost services covered all areas of Baku and the Absheron district. In these centers representing 155 services, 537 thousand citizens were provided for the past period, 98.2% of these citizens expressed satisfaction with the level of services rendered.
The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population spoke about the inclusive school of arts created in the framework of the project “Ensuring the rights and well-being of women in disabled women and veterans of the Karabakh war”, jointly implemented by the UN Development Program and the UN Fund. It was noted that in this school operating at the DOST No. 4 Baku Center, having disability, students are trained along with healthy people. Here they get drawing lessons, knitting and carving.
In general, it is planned to expand the creative possibilities of people with disabilities and to present them to society throughout Dost centers. To this end, the DOST Agency decided to create the center of inclusive development and DOS creativity.
