The relevant committee of the Council of the Federation of Russia on constitutional legislation and state building supported and recommended the chamber to approve the law on the possibility of confiscation of property for “fakes on the Armed Forces” and for public calls to carry out activities aimed against state security, according to Tuesday, February 6, Russian Gossmi.

The confiscation of property is provided for the distribution of knowingly false information about the armed forces, calls for the introduction of sanctions or to extremist activities. The Chairman of the Committee Andrei Klishas specified that after the first reading, the senators made amendments to the document to avoid double interpretations and the occurrence of legal uncertainty.
