Erdogan requires fulfillment of Russia and USA for Syria

Turkey hopes that the United States and Russia will fulfill the obligations recorded in 2019 agreements on Syria and “will clear the boundaries of terrorism.”

As the representative of the Turkish president Ibrahim Kalyn stated, this is required by the leader of the Republic of Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Our fight against terrorist elements that pose a threat to our national security will continue until our country and the border region become completely safe,” Kalyn said.

In October 2019, Moscow and Ankara signed a memorandum of understanding, according to which the divisions of the Russian military police and the Syrian border service were introduced on the Syrian side of the border with Turkey outside the Turkish zone. After that, a joint Russian-Turkish patrol began.

In the same year, Washington and Ankara accepted the road map for patrolling in Manbij.
