Tokyo’s authorities, where at the moment the summer Olympic Games are held, they revealed 3,177 cases of contamination of coronavirus in the past day. This is another Japanese anti-record. This is evidenced by the statistics published on Wednesday Tokyo administration.
The previous maximum was recorded on Tuesday – 2,848 cases. According to statistics, the largest number of infections is confirmed among people from 20 to 30 years – 1,078 cases.
Governor Tokyo Yuriko Koike, commenting on Wednesday morning the situation with the spread of the virus in the Japanese capital, called out younger as soon as possible from the new coronavirus. According to her, the overwhelming majority of new cases of infection with coronavirus account for the age groups of 20 to 40 years.
