Turkey should not be the only power talking to Moscow. Europe should conduct a dialogue with Russia. This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, reports France-Presse.
“Who wants Turkey to be the only power that continues to negotiate with Russia? We should not succumb to any form of false morality that would make us powerless,” the French president said at a meeting with the French ambassadors.
In his opinion, the European Union should itself maintain a dialogue with Russia. Emmanuel Macron is sure that the work of the diplomat is to talk with everyone, especially with people with whom they do not agree. This must be done in coordination with allies.
“We must prepare for a long war. We must avoid escalation and prepare for the world. Preparing the world means negotiations with all parties, including, as I did only a few days ago and will do it again with Russia,” – – noted the President of France.
