Officially: Armenia begins to build a road in Hankendi bypassing Lachini

“Work on the reconstruction of the M2 highway through the settlements of those and Kornidzor of the Syunik region will begin in August.” This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia in response to media requests.

It is noted that the new M2 highway bypass the Lachinsky corridor will connect Hangkendi with Armenia and replace the current road through the city of Lachin and the village of Zabukh, which will be controlled by Azerbaijan according to the tripartite agreement of November 9 and 10, 2020.

The new road will pass through the settlements of those and the Cornidzor of the Syunik region of Armenia, as well as through the village of Buyuk Galadyaryasi and Kitik Galadyaryasi Shushinsky district.
