Normalization of Chinese-Lithuanian relations is possible, subject to Vilnius, the name of Taiwan’s representative office, the attorney in the affairs of China in Lithuania Zyu Baihua, told the BNS agency.
“Changes in the relations of our countries, according to the representative office, do not happen. There is no opportunity to return in the current situation diplomatic relations to the previous level. For this, Lithuania first needs to change the name of Taiwan’s representative office,” he said.
Lithuanian-Chinese relations are experiencing a crisis provoked by the discovery in November 2021 in the Vilnius of Taiwan’s representative office. China revoked its ambassador and offered to do the same to Vilnius.
