Parallel imports in Russia under threat due to mobilization

The mobilization of employees of Russian logistics companies jeopardizes the work of parallel imports, as they lose narrow specialists, Russian media write.

“The search for new scarce candidates for the positions of mobilized employees will require large financial costs, which will be practically impossible to fulfill in competition with medium and large businesses,” said the commercial director of the Sota Logistic logistics company Kirill Latin.

According to Latin, unique specialists are now working in the field of parallel imports, including former customs inspectors, customs declarants, foreign economic activity specialists, international transportation managers, lawyers, many of them speak foreign languages. “Even in short -term and medium -term prospects, leaving such valuable personnel from the Russian market will significantly complicate the development of supplies,” he added.

Now companies are already feeling the lack of employees, but with more common qualifications, in particular, drivers. This can lead to an increase in the price of logistics, since demand will not be supported by the offer.
