After the rise in prices for gas, Azerbaijan received appeals from new potential buyers of natural gas in Europe, said Minister of Energy of the country Pyarkviz Shakhbazov in an interview with Bloomberg.
According to the minister, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Europe in 2021 will amount to 6.5 billion cubic meters, in 2022 will increase to 10 billion cubic meters.
Shahbazov noted that the states and companies in the East and the south of Europe expressed interest in buying Azerbaijani gas: “States and companies in the East and Southern Europe expressed interest in buying Azerbaijani gas. The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts the volume of gas exports from Azerbaijan to Europe on TAP in 2021 at about 8 billion cubic meters.
