The ruling faction of the Armenian parliament “My step” put forward the candidacy of the Acting Head of the Government of Nikola Pashinyan to the post of prime minister for the beginning of the Parlet Radget procedure and holding extraordinary elections, RIA Novosti reports.
“Conducting extraordinary elections is possible only in one case – if the Parliament does not elect the prime minister twice. That is why we put forward the post of Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan,” said the head of the fraction of Lilith Makunz.
At the same time, I.O. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the “my step” faction would elect a new Prime Minister of Armenia, if political forces violate the agreement and put forward candidates for the post of head of the Armenian Cabinet.
“As we agreed, today we will not elect a new premiere for the dissolution of parliament and holding extraordinary early elections. There are some conversations that the political forces at the second stage of election of the new premiere will violate the agreement (nominated candidates), however We have the scheduled steps in this case.
