Test flights from new Erzhan Airport began in TRSK

On Wednesday, July 5, the first test flight from the new Erjan Airport in Lefkosh, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRSK), was held.

According to the TAK news agency, test flights in the Lefkoshi area will last four or five days.

The Minister of Public Work and Transport TRK Erhan Arykly said that the authorities of the island are completely mobilized and prepare a new airport for the opening of July 20.

According to him, the opening of the air harbor was postponed for various reasons, but such a long -awaited process is coming to an end. Erzhan Airport on its scale is more than the fourth largest in the Turkish Air Harbor – Dalaman in the southwest of the fraternal country. The cost of the project is estimated at 400 million euros. Air harbor will be able to receive up to 10 million passengers per year, ”the head of the Ministry of Transport said .

Arykly noted that the opening ceremony of the new airport in Lefkosh will be held on July 20 with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
