In Bulgaria, a fugitive retired colonel and a member of FETO Mustafa Lenent Goktash were caught. At the request of Turkey in Interpol, a “red notification” was issued in his name (“Red Notification” of Interpol is an arrest order for persons on the international wanted list). The colonel is suspected of murder of historian Nedzhip Khababelomitoglu, who exposed the organization of Fethullah Gulen in his book “Spy”, reports the A Haber television channel.

Levent Goktash was detained in the Bulgarian city of Svilegrad. Now the Turkish Ministry of Justice and Interpol has initiated a heoktash extradition procedure to Turkey.

Recall, the historian and scientist Neujip Habbleitoglu was killed in front of his house in Ankara on December 18, 2002. Officially, the case of his murder was not disclosed. One of the murder suspects – Nuri Gökkhan Bozkir was detained in 2022.

In the last years of his life, Habelomitoglu focused on exposing the movement of Gulen. In his book, entitled “Köstebek” or “Spy”, he wrote that this movement was a terrorist organization that created another organization alternative to the current government. He was killed five days before the publication of the book.
