Prime Minister Iraq Muhammad Shiya al-Sudani instructed the security forces to start surgery against participants in the riots in Kirkuk, where a commandant hour was previously introduced.

This is stated in a statement by the press secretary of the Prime Minister Yahi Rasul.

According to him, the commandant hour in Kirkuk, where the protests of the supporters of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan (DPP) were continued on the initiative of As-Sudani.

AS-Sudani called on security forces to ensure order in Kirkuk, and to start an operation against participants in unrest.

The prime minister instructed everyone who will be involved in riots and offenses. In addition, al-Sudani demanded to ban civilian weapons.

Earlier in Iraqi Kirkuk, a commandant hour was introduced against the backdrop of protests of a group of supporters of the Democratic Party of Kurdistan (DPK), requiring the opening of the Erbil-Kirkuk highway.

The Kirkuk police called the townspeople not to leave the house at the commandant hour.

Promotion participants demand the return of the DPK building, which was used by the party until 2017. Locals, in particular Arabs and Turkman, opposed this decision and blocked the Erbil-Kirkuk highway.
