Azerbaijan is aimed at doubling gas supplies to Europe by 2027, the European Union countries should determine how future gas volumes will be distributed, the Minister of Economics of Azerbaijan Mikail Dzhabbarov said in an interview with Euronews Bulgaria.
“We are already negotiating with our partners, both abroad and within the country. Our idea is to increase our production. … Our goal is to double these volumes (gas supplies) by 2027. This The key priority is for us. Now the question of how these volumes will be distributed between various European countries, this should be determined by the EU member states themselves, ”said Dzhabbarov.
The Minister of Economics announced the presence of Azerbaijan opportunities to increase the volume of gas exports due to the start of the extraction of several more gas fields. He added that all options are being considered in Baku for maximum gas consumption in Bulgaria, “as far as possible.”
