Europeans may prohibit occupying positions in Russian state -owned companies

German authorities urge to ban the European Union citizens to occupy senior positions in Russian state -owned companies, the newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung said

It notes that EU citizens should no longer be allowed to enter the supervisory board or board of Russian state -owned companies. It is assumed that the ban will become part of the next package of Western sanctions against Russia. In the document, as the newspaper writes, the German government also advocates restricting world oil prices. In addition, Berlin requires the EU to ban cooperation with Russian atomic companies.

As noted in the document, the proposal of the EU citizens of well -paid positions in the governing bodies of Russian state -owned companies “has long been an important element of the efforts of Moscow to have political influence on the EU countries”.
