Latvia handed over to Ukraine a third of their defense budget

“We in Latvia have spent one third of our annual military budget for two months to build military power of Ukraine.” This was stated by the President of Latvia Egils Levits, stated on a joint briefing in Kyiv with the presidents of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania and Estonia.

He added that there are other NATO member countries that help Ukraine, and it means a lot.

“But at the same time, Ukraine needs the help of all members of the Alliance. I urge NATO countries to join the help of Ukraine, in particular, to start deliveries of truly efficient and necessary weapons,” said Levves.
