Plush bear was chosen by official mascot of Euro-2024

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) presented the official talisman of the European Football Championship, which will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.

A teddy bear was chosen as the Euro-2024 Mascot, according to the UEFA website.

The talisman pays tribute to the popular children’s toy, a plush bear, which, as they say, was invented in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century.

On June 20, the talisman was first represented in one of the primary schools of Gelsenkirchen. After that, the Masted will go to the school of the German football union, and in the evening he will meet with fans at a friendly match of Germany and Colombia on Arena Aufshalka.

Over the next two weeks, the children participating in the UEFA program “Football in Schools”, together with the fans by voting, will choose a name to the talisman. Four options were provided with a choice: Albert, Bernardo, Bernhart and Herzi von Ber.

It is noted that the talisman will begin his journey under the motto #makemives ( #move) in schools, urging students to use physical activity in order to breathe life into it and force to move. Also, the bear will become the hero of the educational series, in which, together with European influensers, he will tell about such topics as training, proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle.

Throughout the year, the talisman will visit the Zhizhaev cities Euro 2024.

Euro 2024 will be held in 10 cities of Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. 24 teams will play at the group stage of the tournament.
