UN: Since beginning of hostilities, Ukraine left almost 5 million people

“Almost 5 million Ukrainians left the country from the beginning of the Russian invasion at the end of February.” This is evidenced by the data of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

According to the organization, updated as of April 18, the country was already abandoned by 4,980,589 people.

Most refugees, according to government governments, went to Poland (more than 2.8 million) and Romania (almost 750.7 thousand). Hungary adopted almost 465.6 thousand people, Moldova – more than 425 thousand people, Slovakia – almost 339.7 thousand people.
