On the eve of the National Museum of the Carpet with cooperation Azərxalça, AFFFAIR and the Azerbaijani National Museum of the Carpet, an exhibition of carpets “A new look at the cultural heritage” was opened. The exhibition organized in partnership with Pasha Holding, Kapital Bank and Pasha Bank will be held until February 10.
The opening ceremony was attended by public and political figures, representatives of art and famous carpeters.
The exhibition will be presented by a series of carpets of the founder of the brand AFFFAIR, the world-famous Azerbaijani designer Rufat Ismail, stored in the Azerbaijani National Museum of the Carpet and the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg. Each of the 5 samples of the carpets included in the collection was released by a limited circulation of 25 copies. One copy of each of these modern carpets was transferred to the gift of the Azerbaijani National Museum of Carpets in order to preserve, modernize and transfer cultural heritage to future generations.
It should be noted that the main idea of the modern collection of carpets is to show that the Azerbaijani carpet is an inexhaustible source of inspiration, decorating a family hearth, a rare example of art, which gives special energy to the interior. The purpose of the project dedicated to the Karabakh victory and inspired by Azerbaijani carpets, in particular the Karabakh carpet school, is the preservation of historical traditions in modern directions.
